The test results showed that the accessories for many types of vehicles in the country all contain strong carcinogens - polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Among them, the total content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in Chang'an Yuexiang Automobile is 23.5 mg/kg; the test result of Mitsubishi Outlander is 6.8 mg/kg; modern Xinshengda is 5.4 mg/kg; Shanghai GM Chevrolet Love/Europe is 7 mg/kg; Chang'an Suzuki Tianyu SX4 is 6.4 milligrams per kilogram.

According to experts, PAH is an organic compound that is highly carcinogenic and can cause cancer in humans through breathing or direct skin contact. After the substance enters the human body, it will destroy the genetic material in the human body.

It is understood that at present, there is no relevant content standard for PAHs in China's auto interiors, and many countries in Europe and the United States have strict limits on the content of PAHs in industrial products such as automobiles.

Vehicles that have been tested for excessive levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in China have also been sold in Germany. However, according to laboratory tests commissioned by CCTV reporters, no polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were detected on the steering wheels of GM Chevrolet Aveo Europe and Suzuki Tianyu SX4 purchased in Germany.
