Four Japanese headlamp manufacturers surveyed by local antitrust agencies

According to news from foreign media, the Fair Trade Commission recently conducted a monopoly investigation on four headlight module manufacturers.

The four companies include Koito Manufacturing Co., Stanley Electric Co., Mitsuba Corp. and Ichikoh Industries Co., Ltd. All four companies are suspected of price monopoly.

The Nikkei News reported that the Japan Fair Trade Commission is investigating the unfair trade practices of auto parts suppliers (including the above four companies).

These four companies together accounted for 90% of the market share of Japan's headlight module market, with annual sales of nearly 200 billion yen to 300 billion yen (2.43 billion to 3.65 billion US dollars).
