The data shows that while the import volume and import value of China's metal processing machine tools show a rapid growth year-on-year, the unit price of imported machine tools has also increased rapidly year-on-year. This shows that the demand for medium-to-high-end machine tools in the domestic market is significantly higher than that for medium-to-high-end machine tools, reflecting domestic production. High-end products still have deficiencies in terms of technical level and industrialization, and they also highlight the imminent adjustment of the domestic machine tool structure during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period.

Luo Baihui pointed out that in recent years, the research and development of domestic CNC machine tools have made repeated innovations. In particular, large-scale processing equipment, such as various types of digital display portal milling machines and CNC portal milling machines, have constantly broken through foreign monopolies.
