Our country's research project on fog-scandium monitoring system passed acceptance

The acceptance expert group listened carefully to the project report, reviewed the inspection materials in detail, and commented on the project completion situation and the use of funds, and agreed to pass the project acceptance.
The “China's Fog and Slug Monitoring and Numerical Resolution Forecasting Service System with Different Resolutions” project is implemented by the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences and the National Meteorological Center. The aim is to develop 50 km, 10 km and 2 km with independent intellectual property rights. The resolution fog-enthalpy numerical forecasting system realizes the fog, haze prediction and early warning of the national, regional, and city linkages. It also develops the countermeasures for the fog-slug emergency reduction and control of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, and establishes a demonstration base.
Since the project was implemented, a multi-scale fog-enthalpy numerical forecasting system including multi-component aerosol physics and two-way feedback has been developed, and a nationwide and multiple regional fog-thunder forecasting system has been established.
Three-dimensional observations were carried out in Beijing, Shanghai and Sichuan basins. The aerosol physics and chemistry database including mass concentration, chemical composition, particle size distribution, and new particle generation events was acquired, and a satellite inversion technique was used to construct China's Fog-Neon enhanced observational test data set.
The latest national inventory of biomass combustion and urban traffic emissions has been established, which provides a data foundation for multi-scale haze forecasting; and fog-cumulative forecasts have been established in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Southwestern and Xinjiang regions. Early warning business demonstration platform, and established a national and local linkage fog - haze forecasting and early warning business system.
The project developed different resolution haze-haze numerical forecasting systems and national-regional and regional haze- haze forecasting and early warning demonstration platforms, which provided scientific and technological support for the realization of quantitative fog- haze forecasting and warning in China.
