Three Cases of Troubleshooting Common Type 80-2 Desktop Centrifuges

[Example 1] Turn on the power and the motor does not rotate. Analysis and Maintenance: Circuit Refer to the attached drawing.
When overhauling, first observe whether the working indicator light is on. If it is not on, the cause of the fault is not the input circuit of the power line or the power switch K1. In general, the primary coil of the power transformer B1 is open circuited.
If B1 is a non-burnout circuit, you can use a multimeter to measure the continuity of each tap to find the location of the disconnection (break point), as long as the disconnection point is reconnected well. If B1 is a burnout circuit, rewind or replace it.
If the work indicator light is on, you should check whether the speed control switch K2, timer and motor are damaged. First, measure whether the voltage across the motor is 220V; if not, the timer and K2 are open circuited. For inspection of K2, a knife can be used to scrape the oxide on the contact surface. Adjust the initial position of the correction contact spring so that the contact is good.
To check the timer, the timer can be removed, disassembled, and its contacts cleaned, adjusted and calibrated. If the spring or the cam is damaged, the timer should be replaced; if the voltage across the motor is 220V, The motor is faulty. If there is a motor, the stator and the rotor of the motor are blocked by the foreign matter. If the motor is disassembled, the foreign matter between the rotor and the stator can be removed; if there is no “click” noise, it is The winding is open circuited and can be re-wound or replaced with a new motor.
[Example 2] The motor speed becomes slower and the brush emits a large spark. Analysis and Maintenance: This fault is caused by dirt or brush spring spring force between the motor carbon brush and the commutator, reducing the carbon brush and commutation. Bad contact caused by tablets.
Unpack the machine, unscrew the brush box cover, take out the carbon brush with spring, clean the spring, carbon brush and dirt on the commutator piece with anhydrous alcohol first. If there is a chipping at the front of the carbon brush The sandpaper grinds the carbon brush into a smooth curved contact surface so that it matches well with the circular commutator. Then increase the elastic force of the spring. After the above process, the fault can generally be ruled out.
[Example 3] When the tabletop centrifuge works, a very loud vibration noise is generated. Analysis and Maintenance: The causes and solutions for the vibration and noise caused by the operation of the centrifuge are as follows:
(1) There are loose parts such as fixing the turntable screw at the upper end of the rotating shaft or the damping spring fixing screw on the base, etc., as long as they are fastened again.
(2) Motor shaft bending or bearing wear. If the shaft of the motor is bent, it can be solved through repair and correction. If it is serious, it should be replaced. If the clearance increases after the bearing is worn, a spacer can be added to the shaft to solve the problem. If it is serious, it should be replaced.
(3) The three shock-absorbing springs on the stand become less elastic or break, which makes the turntable shake more. Just replace the damping spring.
(4) The cover is deformed or incorrectly positioned. Just fix, adjust and correct the cover and fix the cover firmly.
(5) There are foreign objects such as broken glass in the test tube sleeve, which will unbalance the load. Before each use, check for the existence of other foreign materials in each tube sleeve. If so, you must remove them before use.
(6) The sleeve does not match the unit. The test tube set is precisely matched to the machine by the manufacturer. Different types of centrifuge test tube sets cannot be exchanged arbitrarily. Otherwise, the centrifuge will produce vibration noise.
