China's mold industry crisis has become increasingly prominent

Recently, in the China Mould Base Industry Upgrading Forum held in Huangyan, Zhejiang, experts pointed out that the international mold industry giants have launched a new round of accelerated battle to enter the Chinese market, the Chinese mold industry crisis is increasingly prominent.

Hong Kong newspapers reported today that mold manufacturing is the top of the manufacturing industry and is hailed as "the mother of industry." In electronics, automobiles, electric motors, electrical appliances, instruments, meters, home appliances, and communication products, 6 to 80% of parts must rely on mold forming.

According to reports, the current manufacturing production base in the world is accelerating its transfer to China. China's manufacturing industry is also moving toward higher-level upgrades and development, and the demand for high-quality precision molds is increasing. After the international giant die and mould industry entered China in the mid-1990s, the investment boom began again. The aim was to seize the opportunity. The Chinese local die and mold industry faced challenges from advanced foreign technologies and high-quality products, and the living space was squeezed.

The report pointed out that the strong foreign capital's tendency to enter the Chinese mold industry has led stakeholders to worry that the Chinese mold industry will gradually lose its living space and even be divided by foreign capital. Chinese domestic companies must carefully think about how to grasp the "standards" of foreign investment.

The mold and mold factory invested by the international mold industry giant Belrose of Finland was put into production soon. The factory is built entirely in accordance with European and American standards, and the first phase of the project is invested 60 million yuan (about NT$242 million), mainly to provide high-end molds for the telecommunications, health care, electronics, automotive and other industries. Product, with both testing and verification capabilities.

In May of last year, Mitsui Fuji Automobile Mold Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Japan's No. 1 auto mold maker Fujitsu Industries Co., Ltd. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., settled in Yantai, Shandong Province; and Cole Asia also established a joint venture with China Dongfeng Motor Mold Company. Wuhan Dongfeng Kerr Mould Standard Parts Co., Ltd., Kohl Asia Corporation accounted for 63% of the shares.

In addition, in July last year, Japan's AB company engaged in mold manufacturing for the first time with Taiwan's personal computer peripheral equipment manufacturers went to Shanghai to set up factories to produce mouse and mobile phone mold products. Mold enterprises from the European Union, South Korea and Singapore are also intensively organized to visit China and seek to enter the region and partners.
