Kerry visited Futian Cummins's new ISG heavy-duty engine from machining, assembly to testing production line. The ISG is Cummins' newly developed heavy-duty engine platform that meets stringent emission standards while improving fuel efficiency.

The ISG engine platform and the Foton Cummins Plant are themselves vivid examples of the mutually beneficial industrial cooperation between China and the United States. Cummins, headquartered in Indiana, USA, and Foton Motors of China have jointly developed clean power technologies to better serve Chinese customers. More than 100 American engineers worked with their Chinese counterparts to make a lot of efforts for the development of this engine's advanced technology. Moreover, the US advanced production facilities owned by the Foton Cummins Factory created a convenient and efficient working environment for more than 1,000 front-line employees.

We are greatly encouraged by this cooperation, which will bring us more opportunities to leverage our comprehensive complementary resources and use our advanced technology to create greater environmental and sustainable development benefits for the people of both countries."

“The advanced Cummins ISG heavy-duty engine platform and its leading manufacturing level have fully proved to the guests today that we have the ability to exceed customer expectations and meet the most stringent emission standards through cooperation among industries and countries.”

Delegates attending the Clean Air Clean-up Roundtable Conference, and Chairman of Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd., and Chairman of Foton Motor Xu Huiyi attended the event.
