Multi-band pulse single-spin magnetic resonance spectrometer
The project acceptance expert group consists of 14 experts. Academician Fang Jiancheng of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Academician Liu Ming of the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences acted as the team leader and deputy leader of the acceptance expert group respectively. The expert group first listened to the report of the project leader and academician Du Jiangfeng of the University of Science and Technology of China on the development of the project “Multi-band pulse single-spin magnetic resonance spectrometerâ€. Academician Du Jiangfeng led the project team for five years and realized the first international multi-band pulse single-spin magnetic resonance spectrometer, including multi-band complex magnetic resonance system, microwave and RF system, optical confocal system and console system. . The spectrometer realizes the detection of single-nuclear spin quantum states, which can directly measure the composition, structure and dynamic properties of individual material units at the atomic scale, and obtain unique information of individual units covered by ensemble statistical averages, at the single quantum level. More fundamental understanding of the structure and nature of matter, and therefore important applications in the frontiers of physics, information, biology and other multidisciplinary fields. During the implementation of the project, the “Development and Research†approach was adopted, and a series of important research results were obtained. For example, the magnetic resonance spectrum of the world's first single protein molecule was obtained under atmospheric conditions at room temperature, and was selected as the current issue by Science. The highlights, together with a special report, were evaluated as "a milestone in real-time imaging of single protein molecules in living cells." The project team published 67 SCI papers, including 2 Science, 1 Nature, 8 Nature, and 15 PRL. Relevant scientific research progress won the 2015 China Association for Analysis and Testing Science and Technology Award and the 2015 China Science Top Ten Progress. Through this project, the University of Science and Technology of China formed a young and dynamic research team for magnetic resonance science instruments.
The acceptance expert group also heard the supervision group report, technical test and acceptance report, financial acceptance report, and file acceptance report. The project technical test, financial acceptance, and file acceptance were completed by the fund committee experts on May 10. Subsequently, the acceptance expert group and the relevant leaders of the Fund Committee conducted on-site inspections of the operation of the equipment. The expert group gave high praise to the project development work, and agreed that the project team had completed the project work in an all-round way and made outstanding progress.
The acceptance will be led by the Academician Xie Xincheng, the deputy director of the Fund Committee.
