Gas catalytic radiators operate on the principle that an integrated electrical component preheats the catalytic mat to approximately 120 degrees Celsius. When this temperature is reached, fuel (natural gas) is fed from the rear side of the radiator and flows through the catalytic mat. At the same time, oxygen in the air enters the catalytic pad from the front. In the presence of a hot catalytic pad, the mixture of fuel gas and oxygen undergoes a catalytic reaction, and the flameless combustion (oxidation) of the gas generates short-wave infrared rays. During the combustion process, NETEK's gas-fired catalytic converter's unique catalytic pad acquires oxygen from the air. At the same time, paint and coating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are drawn into the catalytic pad and burned off.
This effective heat transfer method is based on the fact that the energy radiated by the infrared radiation can be directly transferred to each molecule of the material coating, thereby achieving a rapid and uniform drying process from the inside out. The low-temperature catalytic combustion process is very clean and produces only a very small amount of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide, so the catalytic infrared dryer has advanced scientific and technological level in environmental protection.
