Kumho Tire Completed in the U.S. Plant

Kumho Tire held a factory completion ceremony in McCann City, Georgia, USA. The plant mainly produces ultra-high-performance tires with 17-inch and above in small cars. The current annual output can reach 4 million.

On May 2, Kumho Tire held a factory completion ceremony in McCann City, Georgia, USA.

On the same day, Georgia State made Nathan Deal, Robert Mayor of McCann City Robert Reichert, Consul General of South Korea in Atlanta Jin Chengjin, and President of Kumho Asiana Group Pu Sanqiu, Jin. Lake Tire CEO Lee Han-yeon, a total of more than 300 political and business people.

Kumho Tire's Georgia plant mainly produces ultra-high-performance 17-inch and above tires for small cars, with an annual output of 4 million.

Kumho Tire Co., Ltd. said that in the future, it will increase production in stages and strive to achieve 10 million annual production.

The Kumho plant is located close to auto production sites such as the Hyundai Alabama factory and the Kia Motors Georgia plant.

Therefore, it is expected that more than 80% of the plant's high-performance tire products will be used as tires for new cars for the above-mentioned companies.

As the world’s largest market for tires, North America’s annual average tire consumption accounts for about 22% of the world’s total tire production, which makes it a must for major tire companies.

Park San-joong, president of Kumho Asiana Group, said in his speech: "To develop the North American market, not only the support of top equipment, but also to build the best tire production system with advanced management concepts."

It is reported that the Kumho Georgia plant has introduced the APU (Automated Production Unit), which was developed exclusively by the company.

In addition, the plant has achieved first-in, first-out and real-time production management through the construction of a production tracking system using RFID (Radiowave Identification) and the introduction of LGV (Unmanned Goods Transporter) and other transportation automation systems.

The completion of the US factory indicates that Kumho Tire has further strengthened its production capabilities in North America and laid the foundation for its full integration of the North American industrial chain.
