Key breakthroughs in key diesel engine-based homogeneous compression-ignition engines


The project of “Key Technology Research and Prototype Development Based on Diesel Homogeneous Compression Ignition Engine”, supported by the National 863 Program, has achieved important breakthroughs in the key technologies of diesel engine homogeneous compression ignition through the organic combination and collaborative innovation of “production, learning, and research”. It has the potential to promote the application of homogeneous compression-ignition diesel engines and their key technologies to industrialization.

The project aims to develop a diesel engine engineering prototype based on homogeneous compression ignition technology, and proposes a new high-density low-temperature combustion technology based on the combustion path control. The R&D personnel optimized the design of the combustion chamber structure and injector parameters, improved the mixing of fuel and air, and achieved high-efficiency clean combustion. Through the injection strategy and optimization of the air system, multi-combustion mode combusting was achieved within the full operating range. Improved balance between NOx, carbon soot, and fuel economy; the late-entry intake valve structure and its application were developed to achieve a variable thermal cycle, providing an effective way to control combustion and emissions and increase thermal efficiency. And applied for international invention patents, has been open in the United States, Russia, South Korea and other countries. The above-mentioned combustion system and control strategy realizes the optimization of the composite combustion mode of the diesel engine in full operating conditions. The preliminary test results show that the original emission of the diesel engine is close to the Euro V emission level, and the simplified postprocessor can meet the requirements of the Euro VI standard.

The progress and technological breakthroughs of the key technologies of the homogeneous compression-ignition diesel engine mentioned above indicate that by taking a firm foothold domestically, grasping the development direction of international cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing the ability of independent innovation, it is entirely possible to break through the bottleneck of the application of advanced combustion technologies and to break the blockade of some key technologies abroad. To achieve a leap-forward development of China's highly efficient and clean diesel engine technology. At the same time, through the highly efficient and organic “production, learning, research” cooperation model, the promotion process of homogeneous compression-ignition diesel engine technology is promoted.

Moreover, our factory can apply arc seamless splicing technology at the corner of the acrylic tunnel to connect multiple tunnels into a whole without gluing, which greatly improves the aesthetics of the acrylic tunnel.
